Santa Barbara City College is making a difference! Last week SBCC celebrated this year's Green Apple Day of Service with a Tree Planting. They planted five Cercis Canadensis trees which were specifically selected to add ecology to their campus in terms of nitrogen fixation. Cercis Canadensis Trees also match the school's color red and have edible flowers and seeds. The Tree Planting also occurred on the Day of Caring which is part of SBCC's initiative to develop a District Sustainability Plan for implementing a Campus Landscape Master Plan and become a Tree USA Campus! SBCC is supporting and improving their community and so can you!
